I will never understand why doing RPF quietly on the internet for fun is wrong but big budget movie RPF for money is fine and by some transitive property of money and awards show buzz homegrown RPF based on the big budget RPF is more fine than the home brewed stuff. Surely if it's wrong to write fic it's also wrong to write heavily publicized unauthorized biopics which will inevitably both fictionalize their subjects and imply they present some version of the truth to a broad audience.

an especially funny brand of discourse to have with the beatles because biopics are one thing, but two of us and yesterday already exist like. people BEEN writing beatles rpf. that shit is no different to anything you'd find on ao3, and two of us is already leaning shippier than some gen fics so like, don't get mad at me man, get mad at michael lindsay-hogg! he started it. i didn't even know the guys irl.

#the wardrobe department on that movie knew what they were doing I swear to god #They probably had Mike Nesmith photos up on their wall as inspo for this guy #anyway I think this guy would be great because he's tall and intimidating but could still do the goofy guy bit #and he's also got an intense but still babyface so it's like that thing about Mike's first impression #where it's poignantly obvious that he's the edgy one but you're like 'oh well he's still a sweetheart he's just a kid-'#and then you find out he's a veteran who's married and has a baby and you're like 'HUH???'#and like #yeah #this guy's face doesn't really match mike's #but I swear there were some shots in this film with this guys side profile and and posture and my brain went “mike?' ”MIKE?'#and he's got the hair color and the right texture if they brushed it out #so you stick some sideburns on that kid and give him an accent and he's ready to go out the box #monkees posting

i found the husband less loathsome than some make him out to be, but she certainly didn't drive him to suicide lol

#he made her move to france too like. that's crime enough #also the fact that he was regularly punching holes into walls is like. not a great sign anyway #i do not think the film's general message was about one partner being completely disempowered either way #they both made choices and the husband never figured out how to live with his choices #sandra probably didn't always contribute in the most productive manner here but to blame it entirely on her? eh no
